
Nancy Hall, Director

Nancy Hall holds a B.S. in Music and Christianity with a concentration in piano performance from Houston Baptist University and did graduate studies in pipe organ at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. She maintains memberships in The National Guild of Piano Teachers (NGPT), Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), National Federated Music Clubs (NFMC), Kindermusik Educators Association (KEA) and Early Childhood Music and Movement Association (ECMMA). She is certified by NGPT and MTNA. She is certified at the Master Teacher Level by KEA and at Level 3 by ECMMA. Nancy is Past President and member of Conroe Music Teachers Association, local chapter of MTNA. She was voted Member of the Year for 1996 by CMTA. Nancy has taught private lessons since 1970. Nancy has served as church organist or pianist in churches since the age of 16. She is the owner of Hall's Musik Studios and Kindermusik of The Woodlands. She is the Director of Kindermusik of The Woodlands, where she teaches Kindermusik classes for newborns through 7 years along with a staff of 5 teachers. She is the Director of Hall's Musik Studios, offering lessons in piano and guitar, with a staff of 5 teachers. Nancy's biography is included in Who's Who in American Women and was honored by Kindermusik International each year, 2000-2012 with the Maestro Conductor Award, an award given to the top 1% of Kindermusik programs worldwide. Kindermusik is taught in 65 countries with 5,500 educators. Nancy receives great joy teaching music to students of all ages and has seen several students come up through the Kindermusik program and go on to major in music become music educators themselves..

Cheryl Schneider

Cheryl Schneider began her music at the early age of four. She was trained in classical music for nine years. She graduated with honors from the University of Houston's Moore's School of Music with a degree in piano performance and a degree in Creative Writing. She studied piano with Dr. Robert Brownlee at the University of Houston. She has taught music to children and adults successfully at Hall's Musik Studios, Houston Music Institute, Houston Community College, Baldwin Pianos, Great Southern Music, House of Guitars and Fort Bend ISD. She has performed with KILT band (CBS Radio) for many years opening for groups including Randy Travis, Steve Wariner, Alabama, Vince Gill and countless others. Cheryl enjoys world music, music theory, classical piano, and popular music. She also plays guitar, flute, percussion and mandolin. Cheryl is a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers and Music Teachers National Association and the local chapter, Conroe Music Teachers Association.

Caleb Ackerman

Caleb Ackerman has always valued music. Beginning formal piano lessons at the age of five, he successfully competed in Guild and other competitions throughout his musical career. Playing professionally for piano bars while still in high school, he went on to be the music director in numerous college productions. Triple majoring in music, general business administration, and political science, he graduated summa cum laude from Sam Houston State University in 2007. His versatility being one of his best qualities, he has played gospel piano for churches since 2000, as well as classical and show-tunes for vocalists in the musical theater. He has been teaching private piano lessons since 1999 with an emphasis on stylistic quality ranging from honky-tonk and blues to jazz and latin to classical music. Beginning his tenure at Hall's Musik Studio in 2007, his overall goal is to bring the joy of music to as many people as he can. Caleb is a member National Federated Music Club, and Music Teachers National Association and the local chapters, Conroe Federated Music Club and Conroe Music Teachers Association.

Shirley Cheung Black

Shirley Cheung Black began playing the piano in 1995. Her first experiences were in church music. She played in Christian bands while in high school. After high school, Shirley started to play more types of music, including jazz, folk, and then classical. Shirley holds a Bachelor Degree in Music from Sam Houston State University, where she studied the piano with Dr. Sergio Ruiz, and Dr. Marshall Davis. Shirley plans to continue her piano studies and attend graduate school in piano performance and piano education. She has been teaching piano lessons since 2004. Shirley began teaching private piano lessons at Hall's Musik Studios in 2007. She is a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers and Music Teachers National Association and the local chapter, Conroe Music Teachers Association.

Miranda Murphy
Miranda Murphy has been deeply involved with music since the age of 4, when she began taking music lessons with a local
Yamaha teacher in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After finishing the 4-year program, she went on to take private piano lessons
from a teacher near her home, and then in high school began studying with professors at Louisiana State University. Miranda
entered LSU in 2002, and while there her teachers were Dr. Jennifer Hayghe and Gregory Sioles. Beginning in her Sophomore
year, she began teaching private lessons at the LSU Music Academy. Miranda received her Bachelor of Music in Piano
Performance in 2006, and that fall she enrolled at The University of Houston's Moore's School of Music, studying with Betty
Ruth Tomfordhe and Timoth Hester. For the three years she was there, she did graduate work in Piano Performance, served
as a Teaching Assistant in the Theory Department where she taught all 4 semesters of Undergraduate Level Theory and Aural
Skills, accompanied several undergraduate musicians, and actively participated in chamber music. During this time, Miranda
also taught lessons at Ft. Bend Music Center and the Fay School.
Miranda began teaching piano lessons at Hall's Musik Studio in August of 2011 and at Kindermusik of The Woodalnds in
September 2011. She wants to share her love of music with each of her students and hopes that she can inspire each of
them to make music a part of their everyday life.
